Somerville High School

This past weekend, the Somerville High School Music Department performed for the Virginia International Arts Festival in Norfolk, Virginia. The concert choir, chamber choir, wind ensemble, jazz band, and marching band all received gold ratings. In addition, they all received first place in their respective divisions. The marching band received additional awards in best percussion, best colorguard, and best visual. Most notably, the Wind Ensemble and Marching received the highest score among all ensemble across the entire festival, earning Somerville the title of grand champion.
